SMS is attractive to marketers because it’s immediate, personal and absurdly effective for certain communications types. Also true: It’s expensive to pull off. And because it’s so intimate, customers expect you to get it right 100 percent of the time.

Inbox Monster announces today new testing tools for SMS that let marketers know if they’re getting it right, before they mash the send button. While the SMS testing and rendering tool has already revolutionized the pre-send workflow for many enterprise brands that lean on SMS, the ability to test complex, interactive journeys is a game changer.

Customers can now perform full journey testing for SMS campaigns at all major carriers in North America on actual devices, being sure that replies, verifications and promo codes are all functioning as planned ahead of time.

For example, a welcome text might include the prompt to text “YES” to continue to see more deals and offers via SMS. Marketers can make sure that these messages actually trigger an opt in and are working smoothly.

Another use case might be a prompt asking customers to reply to receive a promo code for their first purchase. This can also be tested across carriers to see how quickly and accurately the code populates.

QA teams can rejoice. They will no longer have to hunt around the office or virtual office, looking for colleagues who use different carriers so they can send test campaigns. (And their colleagues will probably enjoy being badgered a little less themselves.) For more information on this new feature, feel free to get in touch via our website or at sales@inboxmonster.com
