As with many retailers worldwide, Secret Sales was impacted by Microsoft’s yearly filtering updates. After a second year of working through the changes, they called in an expert. “Having someone on hand who can always give us advice on how to track, monitor and improve our inbox placement is fantastic,” said René James-Barriteau, VP of CRM at Secret Sales. “From a support perspective, [we also get] additional advice about how to improve performance across the board. It’s a bit like having a deliverability angel.”

They also set up alerts and notifications, so they can quickly react when they see any metrics slipping for their campaigns, which are a major driver of sales at the retailer. That way they move from reactive frustration to making proactive moves. “You guys are constantly updating the interface to try to make it seamless for people and easier to use,” said René, adding that keeping close tabs of the campaign views are absolutely essential to their success.
